Are People Ready To Share Their Stories About Gay People?

For the ease of writing, “Stories about gay people” is shortened to “Gay Stories.” Now, without any further ado, let’s address the elephant in the room. The gay community has seen a lot of rough times, and they have not gotten the respect they deserve even after the law supporting them. People shaming the sexual orientation of others should stop and think for once, “What if it was me who was on the other side?” There have been many stories of gay people where either the narrator or a friend of the narrator has told the other guy that it sucks to be you. Well, guess what? It really does!

Why Gay Stories Suck!

Why Gay Stories Suck

Because most of the time, they are mainly trying to defame the entire community because of something done by one person. For example, in one story I came across, someone from the gay community tried to kiss my friend, but he retreated immediately. In this scenario, consent should have been taken into consideration. However, this does not justify the generalization of all the people from the gay community being sexual offenders. stories of gay people like these suck because they are not always a hundred percent true. Plus, most of the time, these stories are just made up to add spices to an otherwise boring conversation.

What Should Gay Stories Be About?

What Should Gay Stories Be About?

If my definition of “Gay Stories” is to be taken seriously, then I believe that gay stories should be more about the empowerment of this community rather than the casual and blatant disrespect of the same. People should be aware of the words they are choosing to weave a gay story and must not make them ugly just because they thought it would be fun to see. So, gay stories should exist but not poorly written ones.
