What Does a Business Analyst Do

What you need to know is about what does a business analyst do:

business analyst (BA) is someone who analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology. Business Analyst helps in guiding businesses in improving processes, products, services, and software through data analysis.
A company typically has several divisions or departments, each with its own function. Some of the more common departments found in a company include:

Business Development:

The people who get business and consequently, revenue for the company.

Handles the branding and promotional activities of the company.

Handles all financial aspects of the company (profit & loss calculations, earnings statements, balance sheets).

The people who handled other people – their recruitment, the company culture, policies, leaves, attendance, salaries, etc. They’re also responsible for getting in other people.

The people who take care of the company’s technology. Seeing as how tech-focused the modern the world is, there’s a high chance that some part of the company’s core business will depend on technology. This is where Business Analysts typically work.

The people who run the show on a daily basis to maintain and support the company’s business.
Now, to get the company’s business to grow, the company has to evolve its products and services. Often at times, this means making changes to the company’s core technology, even more so if the product is a tech-focused one such as a website, an online portal, an online stock market, a search engine, an operating the system, core software, etc.
The people in the business team will have all sorts of ideas on what can be done to achieve growth and targets. But who do they talk to about their ideas? They need to be able to speak to someone who understands their business enough to be able to get their concerns while simultaneously also being a technology-champion in their eyes to give them confidence that he’ll get the requested changes done. That go-to person is the Business Analyst.
